Rear tire/strut clearance

I just put on some carrera lights & RE-71R's. There's about 1/2" clearance between the KSport spring collar and rear tires. Since they move as a unit, is this enough clearance or do I need to raise it? Everything is dialed in and I don't want to have it corner balanced again unless I need to.

That's plenty, have about 5mm of clearance on mine

On the photo you can see that there is rubber on the strut. That means not enough space.

And if you don't tell us some dimensions of the tyre and rim and how much you lowered the car everything is just blabla. ;)

when I was running Carrera lights (18) and ksports, I had to use 5mm spacers if that helps any.

Do you have 5mm clearance from the strut tube, or the collar? I wouldn't be concerned with a little rubbing on the tube, but that collar could shred rubber.

The rubber was from a previous tire letting go after a tread puncture (had about 2" strut clearance on those tires).
Wheels are 18x10 ET65 with 23mm spacer.
Tires are 265/35 18
Rear ride height is 26.25" fender to ground, 14" fender to hub center.
Front ride height is 26" fender to ground, 13.5" fender to hub center.
Spacing between spring collar and tire is 1/2". Spacing to the tube would be more if I raise the collars up & out of the way.

Thanks, Randall. Do you know what your ride height was? What tire size were you running.

Hello,

thanks for the infos. I think in general this setup should work, Only problem i can see is if you use too much negative camber. This has simply to be tested.
