Sunshade Sun visor for 986

in case you're in the market to save your dash, this is a perfect fit without the Porsche price tag.

$35

That looks good. Has anyone here used one of these?

At $35, I'd say that it has some Porsche tax. I just use a $5 Walmart special...fits fine
I rarely park outside, though.

Wal-Mart!?? Not worth having to step over the used diaper in the parking lot.

Risk of vandalism to your uppity Porsche too high...

p.s.
If you park outside, you should use one of these. the adhesive used to stick the leather/pleather to the dash will eventually start lifting and quickly form a bubble.

Well, that was a traumatic visual. I like to think of it as a free sideshow

I prefer the heavy duty folding type. Here is the type on eBay with the "Porsche" tax.

Those BIG shades suck balls! I like the Walmart circle shades that fold up and stow under the driver's seat. No fuss & mess in the cabin.

Haaaaaaa..... I have the big ones for all my cars all the time including the pick up truck. And, they all need to be in the bags when not in use. I think I need help!

All of us former and current owners of a 944 know how important it is to protect the dash.

+1 Guilty as charged. Most expensive bit of cardboard on the planet.

The collapsable ones fit in the seat back pocket, or between the seat and the center console. No idea where you would store one of those cardboard ones with two people in the car.

This is fun....

...as I own BOTH styles of sunshade.

I have that EXACT "Porsche Tax" one with the Porsche logo and case, it's actually the OEM product.

And, I own the "circle" style that folds up and fits in a seat pocket.

The big, expensive Porsche one rides behind my driver's seat and works great. I'm short, so there's enough room back there.

But....the circle style works fine, and is WAAAAY more convenient to deploy and store.

I bought the Porsche OEM one for the perfect fit and better heat reflective capacity, but, damn, I wish it didn't have "Porsche" emblazoned on it for all the world to see.

^ I've also owned both. In my experience the collapsible circles (Costco in my case) are more convenient but it's no contest for keeping the interior cooler and presumably protecting the dash with the foldable/rolling sunshade.

On a few hot days the interior was actually fairly cool. But my side windows are tinted as well....
