986 Gen 2 rear spoiler (ducktail) and front splitter

Hi guys, a friend of mine wants to give me his '03 Boxster next week while he's on holidays. I'm seriously considering his offer to use the car to develop a rear spoiler and splitter for the second generation Boxster.

My question is..........Is there interest in these pieces?

They will look similar to the first generation versions with the only changes being how they follow the different body lines of the newer car.

Let me know your thoughts and feedback please.

Here's the current version.

Here are a few pictures of the pattern for the new gen 2 ducktail. I am hoping to have the mold completed by the weekend and start making parts next week. right now I'm struggling with mounting this thing as the factory system is ridiculous.

A couple more pictures of the ducktail. I had an epiphany today working out the mounting for this piece. Added a front which will cover the extruded aluminum bracket the spoiler attaches to. I have not been impressed by the look of that with the spoiler up. This looks more finished and all part of the spoiler. As an FYI this version is going to be much simpler to make than the gen 1 version. The bottom of the spoiler is much wider and I am able yo lay the part up in one solid part. Still have to attach a bottom mounting surface as I'm doing with the gen 1. My point, with the easier production process the selling price will be adjusted accordingly. It will end up being considerably less expensive than the gen 1 version.

That looks spectacular! I like the thickness of it in the rear, even more so than my Cayman spoiler.

I really like this. I think it would look great painted to match the body color.

Any updates on the Gen 2 Ducktail? I hope there is enough interest in this for you.

The splitter and ducktail (rear spoiler) for the gen 2 cars are complete. I delivered the first set this morning on the car in the pictures. This piece is much easier to make (and looks good with the finished front) than the original for the gen 1 cars. I'm right now in the process of trying to fit this to my car. I hope it will fit, I want this on my car and apologize to the folks who bought the original for me not being smart enough to do the front on that piece.

Pricing on the ducktail I think is very reasonable and I'm offering a further discount for purchasing the set.

Please contact me for pricing and availability tei@telus.net , by phone 604-329-9391 or Facebook "Joe Toth Composites"

P.S. I have lots more pictures if anyone needs.
