Correct Tyre Fitting

Hello

I have a 1998 Boxster with 19inch wheels.

I'd just like to make sure I have to correct fittings on.

On the rear I have 265/35 19 and on the front 235/35 19

Does that sound right?

Cheers!!

That will work but the rears will be a bit tall. 265/30/19 would be my choice if available.

I notice the rear wheel rubs against the hand brake cable. Is that because of the height or width?

Get up in there and have a look. A couple of well placed zip ties should solve the rubbing. 265 is standard width but 35/19 results in a 26.3" diameter. Stock is 25"

There are no "correct" 19-in wheel fittings for a 986, as Porsche never produced 19-in wheels for this car. In any event, you might look at what Tire Rack suggests.
