Windshield Frame Painted

Has anyone painted the w/s frame black? I was looking at my yellow car and thought a black w/s frame would blend in nicely with the top. Also offer a little contrast to all the yellow. Anyone done that? Pics?

I think it looks okay. Are you going to use gloss or a matte finish?

I think I would try t match the 2 stage look of the yellow paint. Also was thinking of vinyl so it is reversible.

I say no. It looks weird.

The Crossfire and Solstice have painted ws trim...enough reason not to do it.

Vinyl sounds good, you could probably get the smallest roll available for a few bucks, stick it on and you'll be able to pull it off immediately if you don't like it. Because it's the internet, I've seen conflicting reports of removing vinyl after time goes by but anyway when you first finish the job you'll be able to easily peel it off if you don't like it. Do post pics if you go that way!

You know if you do the windshield frame then the side vents and front grills would have to be done also.

Use Plastidip as a test. If you don't like it, you just peel it off. It's tough stuff and will last years if you leave it.
