OT - 997 Questions

I know this is the boxster forum but I was thinking about getting a 997 or 997s. I watched a review of the 997 S on Motorweek and they gave the car a raving review. One comment that stuck out in my mind was that it said the car had a

"self-adjusting clutch" - what is that? I have never heard it called that before. I always thought your foot is the self adjusting clutch?

Also can some one answer me this. Between the 997 and the 997 S , how much of a difference is there between the width of the tires in the back? Does the s actually have a wider flair then the standard 997?

As I recall, the 997 and 997S both have 295s for rear rubber. I think the C4S comes with 305s.

If I could get more money for my 987S than the dealer is offering and talk my daughter into dropping out of college, I could be in a 997S in no time! ;)
