Boxster mechanics.....Ignition Cylinder question...

So....have a question. One of the maladies my boxster suffers from is a bad ignition.....

It works, but whenever I start the car, it stays over to the right. Most of the electronics will not work, so I have to consciously turn the key about a quarter turn back to the left and then everything works.

My question is, do I just have to replace the ignition switch? Or, should I replace the whole cylinder???

Mike
