Digital Speedo - Center or Left?

On my 2001 Boxster Base, the digital speedo readout is on the left under the analogue speedo gague - however, on some pics I've seen it under the tach gague. Was this a factory option? if not, can it be changed to go under the tach?

The 1997-2000 cars are in the tach, and 2001-2004 cars in the speedo. On the 987s it went back into the tach again.

Man, we need a tech geek, a master hacker here, who can hack the code and let it appear prominent under the tach.
There might even be an undocumented option, somewhere...who knows

If I had a say in the layout of these gauges, in addition to putting the digital speedometer in the center, I would have put the speedo on the right of the tachometer and the fuel and temp left of the tachometer. But that would mean using full circles for the side gauges. With the partial circles for the speedo and fuel/temp gauges, that would have meant the speedo needle moved counter clockwise which would totally confuse everyone instead of just being totally useless where it is now.
