What material are the exhaust on a Boxster??

My 2000 Porsche Boxster has just failed its MOT. It has a small hole in the Exhaust. I could probably could get it fixed/welded back up.
Does anyone know what material the exhaust are? Just so i could find out if it can be welded back up??
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

Stainless steel, hit it with a mig in your garage if you have one, otherwise have somebody tig the hold shut so it wont rust.
