996 3.4 intake manifold on 3.2 boxster

After looking around for some information i cant seem to find a solid answer so does anyone know if a 996 intake manifold will fit onto the boxster 3.2? And if so what parts will be needed for the conversion?

If it did, it would not fit under the engine cover on a Boxster as the 996 manifold is much taller.

Hey JFP, how are they doing the 996 swaps in the 986 with the extra height? Are they lowering the motors to fit or not using the motor covers?

Bit of both. Most lower the engine a couple of inches to gain clearance. The limiting factor is the fixed cross member below the bell housing area.

Fitting a 987 engine cover should be a solution to the height of the 996 intake manifold being taller than the 986 intake
