Alarm going off - 3 of last 4 days
Hello,
I have a new problem. 3 out of the last 4 days at work, I have had people come and tell me that the alarm is going off on the Boxster. This has happened before, but like once or twice in the last 2 years. Will a Durametric tell me what code caused the last alarm to go off? Thanks, John |

The alarm was going off at unexpected times.
It started in the winter when I was charging the battery. The fronk was open. A mouse had built a nest in the hood latching hole. You might check for a mouse nest. I now use electronic pest control. I have not had any further issues. Pat 2000S speed yellow 60k |
So it has happened 3 times today!
Here is a screen grab of my alarm codes from June 2. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1468448205.jpg And here is a grab from just now. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1468448226.jpg The only code that has increased is code 33. Ideas as to what sensor that is? Thanks. John |
You have multiple faults, including the interior sensor (motion sensors above the mirror) and the radio sensor (a ground on the factory radio chassis).

On the radio, I did replace the head unit and I thought I correctly reconnected the ground. Can you tell me what wire I need to make sure is grounded? Thanks, John |
This is one MAJOR thing that pisses me off about Porsche and Audi...too much CRAP is built into the computers... I MIGHT be more easy on them if they had TWO computers. One for strictly running the engine, and for for strictly running the things that women would care about.
