New to Boxsters...and first big trip with one

A few weeks ago I was trying to decide what to drive to the Porsche Parade in Vermont. I have a fair number of air cooled Porsche's; however, none have great a/c. Since I am getting older (and lazier) I thought maybe I should look at a newer Porsche to drive

I've owned 996's and 997's but never a Boxster. I figured now was the time! In spite of the horror stories on IMS, AOL, etc. (the same reasons I sold my 996's and 997's), I found this 2001 with reasonable mileage, good service records and a recent IMS fix. So, with some excitement as well as trepidation I made the puurchase

I'm happy to report the car made the 2700 mile round trip with zero issues. :)
The car ran great and the a/c was wonderful. I'm quite pleased

Congrats on the purchase and welcome! These cars are a lot more reliable than the Internet would have you think

Very good. That is a great way to get to know the car too. I personally like the size and balance of the Boxsters over their bigger brothers. Welcome!

How did you like the 997? I'm thinking of one in the near future

I had a 2006 (non S)

Excellent car. Sold it in 2011 before there was a good IMS fix readily available...got spooked:)
