New to Boxsters...and first big trip with one
A few weeks ago I was trying to decide what to drive to the Porsche Parade in Vermont. I have a fair number of air cooled Porsche's; however, none have great a/c. Since I am getting older (and lazier) I thought maybe I should look at a newer Porsche to drive
I've owned 996's and 997's but never a Boxster. I figured now was the time! In spite of the horror stories on IMS, AOL, etc. (the same reasons I sold my 996's and 997's), I found this 2001 with reasonable mileage, good service records and a recent IMS fix. So, with some excitement as well as trepidation I made the puurchase I'm happy to report the car made the 2700 mile round trip with zero issues. :) The car ran great and the a/c was wonderful. I'm quite pleased  http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02/box11467061005.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02/box21467061032.jpg |
Congrats on both the car and the trip!

Congrats on the purchase and welcome! These cars are a lot more reliable than the Internet would have you think

Very good. That is a great way to get to know the car too. I personally like the size and balance of the Boxsters over their bigger brothers. Welcome!

How did you like the 997? I'm thinking of one in the near future

Very cool and welcome to the family.

62K miles??? a mere baby! Enjoy your car and don't fret.
