987 wheels and tires on my 986

Cannot find anything definitive....does anyone know for sure if the following will fit on my 1998 986 without any spacers or modifications???

987-362-136-00 (18x8) 57 offset with 235/40/18
987-362-138-00 (18x9) 43 offset with 265/40/18

Thanks in advance.

Be careful....I've read that 18" wheels are NOT recommended for your car. Use the "SEARCH" feature here on 986forum.com and on rennlist.com.

Hi.....you're thinking about 1997 model....the 1998 offered 18" wheels from the factory but with a different tire size than I am looking to put on....the stock 18's on a 1998 were 225/40 and 265/35 .

Maybe one of these threads will be helpful:
