98 Boxster Tiptronic Torque Converter Seal

Hi,

I am looking for some counsel on a service related item for my Boxster. My vehicle was shifting erratic yesterday, and sputtering in the third gear which was quite unusual. I unplugged the battery last night to do a reset and all was fine this morning on my way in to work, but as luck would have it very close the dealership I could see some smoke emitting from the rear. I dropped it off and just heard back that I have a torque converter seal leaking and to replace the transmission needs to come out.

As this is a big and involved job, I am seeking some counsel on what other common seal failures should be done right now whilst the transmission is out. Also, is the IMS something that should also be sorted now. My Boxster has circa 87,000 miles.

Thanks in advance for your input.
