What car is this from?
Got a mass email from my repair shop warning about getting your brakes serviced. There were two pictures included about an owner who neglected his brakes and I thought it would be fun to figure out what car it came from. The shop usually works on European cars, but they aren't limited to it. I really think this is from a Porsche though. (Well, I was convinced until I saw the second picture. Now I'm not so sure anymore.)

Looks a little bit like the old Fiat/Lancia range ?.

I have many Fiat/Alfa spares on my garage and that caliper does not seem to come from the Fiat group.. |
VW jetta would be my guess.

My guess
is ruined and time for a replacement...the main reason I learned to do almost all my own work

Caliper looks like what was on my Mustang 23 years ago.

Hi,
looks like a break caliper that was used in VW group cars. But it's hard to say in which car exactly. Could be Audi, Seat, VW from around 1996 to 2003. Regards, Markus |
