Millers Performance Oil

Whaaaat? Another oil thread??

No, not quite the usual oil thread so please read on...

At the PCA Willow Springs races last weekend, I received a voucher for 5L of Millers Performance Racing Oil and 1L of racing brake fluid. Retail value about $100.

I want to say thanks to PCA, Racers Edge, and Millers Performance Oils! A free oil change and a brake flush is a nice way to recognize the huge effort that goes into Porsche club racing.

Sorry for the cross-post but I wanted Millers to get wider recognition for helping out.

I only get to talk about cats in oil threads. ;)

Are you sure that's not Raby's Snake Oil? LOL

The brake fluid looks pretty good, about the same temps as Motul 600 and the same price

Be careful, there's guy that's been running a scam on brake fluid (maybe oil now, too) for a couple years.

I am guessing you are referring to DT-40. That is not Raby oil. He does not sell it

Getting back to the original topic briefly, Millers also offers contingency to racers:

I am sticking with Mobil 1 for the time being.

On pages 54-55 of the 375th edition of Christophorus magazine is a nice ad for Mobil 1. It states the new turbocharged Porsche 911 is factory filled with Mobil 1.

If it is good enough for the new 911, then it is good enough for my 99 Boxster:-)

Hey, I just trying to pick a fight.......Ha Ha Ha

You only put 5 litres of unknown oil in your engine?? This could be the most expensive oil change possible.

Steve Tinker 05-07-2016 11:52 PM

Just for everyone's benefit, Millers Oils are a very respected independant lubricant manufacturer in the UK and Europe - their nano technology lubricants (for both road & track) have been manufactured for years.
I certainly wouldn't call it snake oil and would have no problem using it in my engine - if I could get it in Australia that is...

Oh....

.....ok.

Yes, DT40 is what I'm running. Seems good to me.

Hah! I was waiting to see if anyone would catch that!

Obviously, I'll have to buy another 6 liters to do a full oil change with the 2 qt deep sump.
