How to run a wire from battery to inside frunk?

Hey all,

I'm trying to install a DRL controller that needs to be wired directly to the battery, but want the controller box to sit inside the carpeted frunk area. Can anyone suggest the best way to run a wire between the two, I can't see any obvious grommets?

Thanks!

There's a hole on one side or the other depending on if your car has the steering wheel on the right or left. Just drill a hole through the plastic plug.

Am I missing something, or is your battery in the wrong place?
On my 04, the battery is in the space between the shock towers

Thanks Woody. The pic helps, though mines a right hand drive so I'll go in through the other side.

As mentioned punch a small hole through the rubber grommet in the firewall. It will be toward the bottom of the upper tier in the frunk, to the left or right of the regular battery location. Once you punch the hole use a screwdriver to push through the fabric barrier that lines the interior. Then look up under the dash to identify where the wire will be coming through. Once you finish wiring everything I would recommend putting a little sealant on the frunk side of the grommet to keep water from getting through.

EDIT:
Found two threads with pictures of the grommets:

I moved mine for what I perceive to be a better weight distribution. I've seen a few race guys put it there if they couldn't put it down in the foot well of the passenger side.
