track or spirited driving fun

Do you have a favorite memory of a track day or just a day out where driving was the focus?

Any stories of you or maybe someone else?

My first autocross was memorable.

My 986 got a ton of compliments which was great, then on my first run the instructor they had ride with me was not expecting me to gun it, and was madly reaching for the door grip as I got off the line. At the end of the day a guy in a brand new Corvette decided to get up to 100mph in the slalom and spun out into the only light post near the course.

There was also a photographer:

That's impressive really.
I'd have loved to see the instructors face. Too bad you didn't have a gopro on the passenger haha.

Drove Skyline drive, Blue Ridge parkway to Tail of the Dragon.
I had a couple hundred pounds of Camping supplies and had drive 900+ mile in 3 days to get there.
I had only planned to take a touristy drive on the tail but I just couldn't hold back
You can see my front tire is 2-3 inches bury into the wheel well.
Every turn I expected Johnny Law but that day none.
About midway a Ducati bike got on my rear and keep pushing. I could put distance coming out of turn, he caught back up into the next turn.
