That is so cool Jake. Great photos. Your date is very cute and a good sport!

You are a lucky guy Jake...and she is a lucky girl! Have fun, prom in a Porsche, not very many can say that!

That is great, Jake!

Hey, maybe a good thread idea - what car did you drive to your prom in?

Me - my Dad's 1970 Pontiac Lemans Sport (350cu V-8)

Way to go Jake!

My senior prom car in 1977 was a 70 Mustang Mach 1. My hot sophomore prom date suggested we take her 76 Olds 98 coupe. Being young , dumb and a car honk, I said I'd been cleaning my car for days so I wanted to take it. Doooh! A year earlier, my cousin had dubbed my Mach 'birth control' because you couldn't get down to business in it.

I've kicked myself for decades for not taking her up on her suggestion.

Husker,
Looks like we graduated the same year.
Anyhow the car I used for my senior prom was a Triumph Spitfire. Who says you can't do anything in a tiny car. Lol.

Mine was in a Saturn Yellow 914. I remember the car, but the girl is long forgotten.

Too bad we didn't have digital photos, or even think much about taking photos back then.

Great pic Jake.

1976 Pinto Wagon. White with blue int. 4-speed. No moon windows. 1990.

That's a prom dress?? Geez how things have changed in a few decades...

@ Lap1 You thought about taking pics... You just didn't want to have to send them away for development! :-)

My prom was in 1974 and I was rolling in my '69 Z28. I remember the girl like yesterday and she was great. Freaking awesome car.

You lucky guy Jake! A beautiful pair! (I mean the girl and the car, not- you know what I mean)
;)

Thanks all, it was great fun! Best thing is, we have two proms. She goes to a public boarding school for the arts and humanities as a ballet student. Mine is in May at a normal humble bumble southern high school lol.

Great pic. Good times.

Her dad approves I'm sure. If you don't have a backseat...nothing to worry about right?
