What the.... Another abandoned 356.
This one is somewhere in an old industrial area near downtown OKC behind an abandoned factory.
Looks like an urban exploration in order. http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/l...psnypn6m0e.jpg |
This one has been sitting outside a repair garage in Ontario for the last several months, in the rain and snow... I only drive by after business hours so I haven't been able to get the story behind it. It sort of looks like a stalled restoration.

Yes, it appears to be the tank surrounded by shredded trunk liner material.
I just learned where it is supposed to be, and it's a burned out abandoned factory in the absolute worst part of town. The property is fully accessible, but a known spot for serious gang activity. There will be a "group" of us checking it out on Saturday. In broad daylight. Possibly armed. Wish me luck. |

Reteo, what happened to the last abandoned 356 you discovered a couple of months ago - the last I heard you were going back to talk to the owner of the property...?

Hi Steve,
Work has been crazy lately, so my ghost town trips and other excursions have been on hold for a bit. However, my friend has been bugging me to eke out the time to go back ASAP, suggesting that these two cars could possibly make one complete uncut 356. Another friend who has been in that area recently has confirmed the car is still there. ;) PS: I think I've found the car above on a satellite image on my GPS. Appears to be in a slightly different location from the photo that was sent to me. http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/l...psvjc1ifx9.jpg |

LOL! They wouldn't know what hit them!
Well I did stop by, and it's the old burned out Townleys Milk plant. It was so remote and deserted out there that even the gangs weren't bothering with it. Car was nowhere to be found. Jim is trying to find the contact info of the property owner (he has dealt with him on old cars before). |
