Updated Taillights

Does anyone have a recommendation for led or clear Taillights? I'd like to get rid of my amber Taillights

I would stick with the '03 & '04 OEM stock taillights. Here are a pair that were sold on eBay for $150 shipped for the pair. GREAT price.

I just installed a set of the "smoked" DEPO LED tail lights and I think they are pretty nice. They come in clear, smoked and black (way too dark, and probably illegal in most states).

Install is very simple, just keep in mind that the outer most running light is not used in the LED units.

I have a (metallic) black 2000 Boxster S and I currently have red with clear/white taillights. I've recently ordered red/black taillights with LED's. I like the look of those taillights in a black car, because the dark/black top of the taillights seem to 'vanish'...

I now was thinking about wrapping my spoiler in a red reflective vinyl, which would give the car a '4S look'.

Did anybody try/do already?

I couldn't find a picture of a black 996 with black/smoke and red taillights on the web, so I choose a silver one with clear and red taillights (as a reference as to how it would look or what I mean):

I already found a silver coloured Boxster that has done it:

And so far I like it. I think I only would also fill in the little opening/gap where the spoiler 'goes in' and the lamp is rounded (if you know what I mean)...
