Fuel port lid

How difficult is it to access that little piston that locks the fuel port flap? Mine never moves or locks.

Thanks.

Try squirting some lubricant spray on it. Mine was not working properly and a squirt of Tri-flow plus replacing the guide bushing ($1.50 from Pelican) fixed it.

It's supposed to lock???

Just something else to put on the list...

Yup, it locks. I accidentally locked it on myself with durametric once or twice.

Once you get to it it's not too hard to remove.

It's a bear to get to. I replaced mine with a new one but it still does not work.
No noise no nothing. Acts as if no electrical impulse is being sent when I arm the alarm.
Not sure how you check if it's getting an electrical signal

Mine engages and disengages. I can hear it click. Although it does not actually lock it like its not long enough? maybe I am missing a part or something.

Not to hijack but Does anyone have a picture of the inside of the door so I can see the locking piece. make sure mine has all the pieces I guess?

With either a DVM or test light on the leads while activating the central locking. :p
