Don't see these too often.

In fact, I don't think I've seen one in over 20 years. Good looking cars for their time.

The lines are awesome on them. I love the 968 cab. I think the 968 cab is probably the most beautiful water cooled Porsche pre 1997 ;)

Never seen one here in Canada. Only on pics...:(

Interestingly there are 4 968 drop tops for sale in Canada on Autotrader right now. 1 is in Calgary, 2 in the Toronto area and one in the Vancover area

I used to see a few 968 ragtops floating around town back in the 90s, but the 944s were extremely rare, and more so now.

You are correct, in fact I have never seen a 944 ragtop.

Now you should know that I'd have one stashed away...

Sorry for the dust and winter grime of sitting neglected in the garage. 1990 944S2 cabriolet. 66k original miles. I'm the second owner - I've had it for 21 years. It's sat for the past few years needing belts and tensioners. Too many projects... Poor thing. It just sits and gets very little attention. :(

This is what I found on Wikipedia:

For the 1990 model year, Porsche produced 3,938 944 S2 Cabriolets for all markets including right-hand drive units for the United Kingdom, Australia and South Africa.

RedTele58, I think you will have to fix the one you got; soon it will be highly collectible;)

Nice hat....

Retroman1969 03-30-2016 09:43 PM

RedTele, I'm somehow not surprised, but it's a cool and pleasant non-surprise! Nice! ;)
