Correct oil weight

Guys I think I messed up. The owners manual for my 98 said 15w50 would be ok to run which is what I used Tuesday on my first oil change. Would it be ok to keep in the car until fall ? I want to switch to the correct lighter weight for the northeast winter.

You are good to go. No issues at all with 15w50 for the spring/summer.

I run 10w40 in the Box and 20w50 in my Alfa Spider year around in NW Florida. I know you may need to go a little lighter in the late fall but no biggie for right now.

Cool thank you. I figure next time I'll switch to 0w40 which is what I run all year in my 06 Mercedes.
