Battery Tender Jr. Question

I have installed a battery tender Jr. To my battery. This is on a 2002 base boxster. It has been connected for 2 1/2 days now and the charge light remains on. The battery is now at 13 volts. My question is, at what voltage will the battery tender switch to the float mode? Battery is a little over a year old. Parasitic drag is normal. Thx in advance for your help.

I use this and yes, it can take some time before the light turns green.

How old is your battery - specifically if it's not AGM or sealed, are you certain cells are topped off? If not any maintainer will quickly turn into a battery tenderizer...

Good luck :)

Battery is a little more than a year old. What I am wondering if anyone knew at what voltage the battery charger will halt and the unit will go into float mode?

Well I decided to call the battery tender manufacturer Deltran and run some questions by them. I was told that the unit will switch off charge (red light steady) to a blinking green light (charge at 80%) at 14.6 volts. The steady green light (float mode) at 14.9 volts.
He did recommend to use the higher amperage unit (plus) for a boxster.

Thought I would pass this on
