Ok I can never do the math, I left the "s" of maths as it's polite to talk in the language of the people that you are addressing

anywayz, 8 x 18 et47 fronts and 10 x 18 et52 rears. they would usually be direct replacement on a 964-993 apparently so what spacer's would be needed for a 986? 10mm?

Also to be proper, you should have the apostrophe out of 'spacers'.

Plural, not possesive.

Lots of variables such as actual tire tread width, max section width, tire O.D., camber, caster (if adjustable), etc.

That said, I could easily make these fronts work with no spacer, but would use about 10 mm spacer on the rear.

As we say over here, your results may vary...

Thanks for the responses guys AND the English lesson...lol. In my defence the few Jameson's I had to celebrate the end of the working week did impair my judgement somewhat

I don't know if I should sell them or pop them on the 986, I've never seen a set of Gemballa Lemans on one before and they should give the car a real clean look but selling them would pay for an awful lot of maintenance that really needs addressing and my old 944 has been grabbing my attention more as of late.
Maybe that working week should run into a few weekends...

I have a set of Gemballa Competition 18's on my '01 Boxster. 8.5 x 18 fronts with a 46mm offset and 10 x 18 rears with a 40mm offset and they fit perfect with no spacers. They do push the outside of the wheel/tire flush with the outside of the body, but no rubbing whatsoever.

I would bolt them on your car first before ordering any spacers. I think you may be surprised at how well they fit.
