Remote locking won't work after fitting after-market radio- help please

I've fitted an after-market radio in a 1997 boxster and the key fob isn't unlocking or locking the car now. It will lock and set the alarm if I turn the key in the lock but the remote locking won't work. Does anyone have any idea why? Can anyone help please?
