The "VIN Decoders" are very different that getting a build sheet. A normal VIN decoder will just give you basic vehicle info and not have the options listed.

IIRC Rennlist and/or Suncoast have a paid service that will give you the options

Yo can also probably go to a Porsche dealer and they should be able to print you out a build sheet that includes the options costs as well

What seemed useful to me was the order sheet that begins about at the point in this web page that begins "Model Designations" on the second page. It is the order sheet you and the dealer would have filled in to allow the dealer to place the order from the factory.

I personalized one to show my car using the sticker on the front hood of the car. This list of option codes is actually greater than the real one as I discovered option codes over the years. I added some of the option codes that didn't exist on the real order and price guide from 2001 but you can see what items the buyer was choosing from none the less. It amazes me how many were available even back in the relatively early days of the Boxster (this is from 2001).

Where I got this is lost in the mists of time.
