PPI Recommendation

Can anyone here recommend somebody/someplace in to do a PPI inspection on a boxster? and how much should I expect to pay, 300 - 500?

Is the PPI pass/fail or does a long list of "should-fixes" come out?

PPI.

I had 2 boxsters PPI'd at Hergesheimer Motorsports in Lake Forest (OC)

www.herg.net

I paid about $180 per car I think......they did all the regular stuff and checked the Compression dadadada plus pointed out that one car had the RMS recently replaced and was currently leaking (the one I didn't buy).

It was definitely worth the cost.

i say the following tentatively - bought my car at hoehn, but live closer to walter's - so service/warranty issues have been handled at walter's. according to hoehn, walter's is their toughest competition for price (maybe cuz it's the IE and all the rich folk out here are more frugal then in LA/OC/SD  ) - that being said, i'm still up in the air though, about quality and capacity at walter's.

still waiting for them to come through on my vibration issue (new tires to arrive wednesday - maybe). but, when i had car in last week i also had them replace one of the clear side markers that kept popping out during driving. they replaced, no questions asked - with one that doesn't match the other side  - not sure if it's for a 986 or for a carrera - slightly different shape and contour! will point it out to them tomorrow!

at any rate, it might be worth it for you to call and inquire about price, but then again, the savings may just be eaten up on gas!

FWIW..... While i haven't had anything done there, I heard nothing but good things about Hergesheimer Motorsports---they certainly seem to have a good reputation. (Heard a number of people say good things about them at last Sat. PCA OCR meeting)
