Seat belt/key in ignition chime

Last week I started hearing the seat belt undone/you left the key in the ignition chiming noise while driving. It will chime twice and stop. I've tried to determine if a particular action on my part is the cause, but it just happens randomly. Any and all help is appreciated. All else seems well with the car, but I fear this is a precursor to some evil occurrence. Only recent changes are DIY transmission, crankcase, and brake fluid service.

If you have the on board computer active, you may be hearing the "speed chime", which makes the same sound. If that is your problem, just reset the speed chime speed to warp 6 and you will never hear it again..........

That was it. I did search here and looked in the owner's manual, but finding the correct word to describe the sound... I tried "ding" and "chime". Never considered "gong".
Thanks once again for your help.

You'd be surprised at how many of these cars are brought into the shop for exactly the same thing.
