2001 vs 2003 986 4 stalk inter-changeable part?
 

Will a 4 stalk OBC from a 2001 Porsche Boxster S 3.2L tiptronic fit on a 2003 Porsche Boxster S 3.2L tiptronic? Want to only use the OBC 4th stalk from 2001 for my 2003.

You'll be fine. They are the same. The only difference is in the appearance. The 1997 to 2001 have a gloss finish whereas the 2002 to 2004 have a matte finish. IMHO, once installed you would have to look hard to tell the difference.

Cool. If you use the search feature there is some great information on the install. Also, I believe a member sells the harness you'll need for the retro fit. Keep us posted. Also, you may want to start a new thread introducing yourself with photos and info on your Boxster. We are suckers for photos. Lots of photos.

You want to buy the harness that Pdwight makes and sells. Send him a private message. It is so worth the fair amount he charges for it IMHO. And just take the OBC stalk off the set you bought and put it on your currently installed 2 or 3 stalk set, no need to deactivate your airbag, take off your steering wheel, etc. Then you just need to activate the computer or have a shop do it!
