How are the roads in Cyprus? Looks like you'll have to roll your fenders and will still have clearance issues on the rear.

I'd vote don't do it.

Roads in cyprus are very bad....only the motorway is smooth! What is the need to roll the fenders?

Thanks

What is your opinion regarding my initial question!

Ride will be much harder. Less plush or smooth. Easy to bend a rim.

Stay 18"

The width & offset of the GT3 wheels are different to the Boxster wheels width & offset.
Getting the 10" wide GT3 rear wheels to fit will be a problem because of the lack of space between the shock turret (where the spring fits) and the body (fender).
The fronts not so bad but you would possibly be rubbing the tyres against the inner bodywork / suspension on maximum turn in.

When wheels stick too far out, you roll the inner edge of the fender to create more clearance. But a GT3 wheel will be too wide regardless if you roll the fender. Looks like your friend has put a too narrow tire on the rear so the sidewall folds over. Not a good practice unless you have a garage queen that you trailer everywhere. You need all the sidewall provided to corner properly.

I still vote no. Those wheels were not meant to be used on a 986.
