New Member Intro

Hey all,

I'm pretty well known on Rennlist and 914World (same User Name and avatar on those sites). Just picked up a Boxster, and a friend suggested that I register here, too.

I was looking for a cheap Boxster to track and autocross, and found this one on Craigs List a couple weeks ago.

1999 with 160,000 miles, so no spring chicken!

Attached are also a few pics of some of its stable-mates.

Looking forward to being a contributing member here!

Mike

good looking boxster! gotta love that zenith blue. and not saying this just because your car looks exactly like mine always happy to see another one, it's a pretty rare color.

Hi over here too, as I'm also on RL. I love your collection, Mike, all beautiful cars.
This forum has a very knowledgeable Boxster membership and you're sure to enjoy it here.
I've followed your RL silver 914 purchase thread and one 996 thread in particular that made my stomach hurt.
Congrats on the Boxster and welcome.

Welcome from fly-over country. I do an annual 4 day golf trip to Temecula.

Is that a true CSS? Don't think I've seen one in SY.

Were there special options that came on a "Boxste"? Is that a CA only option?

Welcome.

Always wanted a 914. Sigh. Probably not going to happen for me, but love both of yours. Welcome to Boxster ownership!

Thanks, guys, much appreciated. Jay, yeah, I'll get to work on a Boxster shirt and hat soon if there is enough interest.

What do you guys think? I would need at least 50 to make it a "go."

(For the others that aren't familiar with my designs, here's a couple pix).

Hey, quick question on this forum. It displays the posts in reverse order (most recent at the top). Most other forums, you scroll form the top down. Is there any way to change the display view?

Have fun.

BTW, I read your thread on Rennlist about your blown 911 engine. I loved how you kept your sanity and sense of humour through the whole ordeal.

Thanks for the info. on the display option. Got that fixed.

Another question: Most forums have a "show my recent threads" or similar. Can't find one here.

I'll start putting some hat/shirt artwork together.

There's a 914 that's been sitting on a run of the mill mechanics lot in town for two years. I have half a mind to offer him 500 bucks for it.
