Buying your 986/987 Boxster from a dealer?
Before you sign the paperwork ask if any of the documents include signing away your right to sue in court if you have any disputes with the dealer over the sale. Or if that signing away of your rights is tied to a rebate or a discount document that you must sign.
Lemon Law Laywer https://youtu.be/wWPALxJscww Corporations are now sneaking these documents waiving your rights into many things you buy. Some of these examples are insane, even in the case of rape on a cruise ship! http://www.nytimes.com/2015/11/02/business/dealbook/in-arbitration-a-privatization-of-the-justice-system.html?_r=0 |
My understanding of these clauses is that you CAN still sue if there was negligence on the part of the dealership. A dealership or other corporations can not escape liability if they were/are negligent.

there is also the "common man" defense
in other words, can a common man understand the documents or do they really need to be a lawyer to understand it. Many, many contracts are completely unenforceable and some are blatantly illegal. Often the bigger the company and the more pages in the document, the more unenforceable it is. Most people assume that a big company would not have a contract or agreement that was a load of BS. This is especially true of employment contracts and definitely those that have non-compete clauses. |
I would love to take a cruise and get raped :p!
