Bone headed Move- Damage Question
Greetings All:
I was doing my 13th annual winter storage prep routine today for the 'Box and in the process of changing the oil and filter (actually getting the car on jackstands first), I inadvertently placed the front passenger jackstand a couple of inches shy of the support mount without noticing it. When I went to get the car off the stands, I noticed that the stand had pinched almost completely one of two approximately 1" diameter tubes (the one closest to the outside) that runs from head to tail on the car. I am guesting that this tube is a conduit that carries something within like a brake, radiator or electric line. After a short 6 mile drive to my storage facility (my mother in law's) , nothing was leaking and the car seemed to drive as normal. Can anyone tell me what I crushed so I know if I need to get a repair planned next spring? Thanks. Steve |
A/C lines? I believe that is what runs along the passenger side.

Damage question
Steve,
With no obvious fluid leak on the ground. A check on your A/C lines would be next ? Otherwise, just hope that the line did not get crushed completely.l Good luck t2 |
The coolant lines are located in the center tunnel and the brake lines are definitely not 1" in diameter, so it is most likely an A/C line. Have the A/C tested.

2 black lines running close to the pass side rocker about 1.5" apart?? Those are the AC lines from compressor to the condenser at the front.
