Dongle behind air vent

Hi,
I was wondering what this dongle-thing is behind the right front air vent? Looks like an antenna of some sort? It's on a 2001 base.

thx

I do believe it is the outside air temp sender for the dash display....

I mainipulated mine back into the rubber grommet to point straight out.

It's the NSA tracking device. Just in case you turn off your cell phone.

Not many people call a radiator grille an air vent ... but in any event this is indeed the outside temperature sender. It's there whether you have the on-board computer activated or not.
