Hoping to buy a 99T 2.5 Boxster

Hello Gents,

My next door neighbour is a car dealer and has offered me a 1999 T reg Porsche Boxster.
Black
Leather Interior
55,000miles
Manual
Full Porsche service history

£12,300

I've looked around and it does appear to be a good price. I shall be viewing it this Wednesday! So I have just a few days to become a Boxster expert LOL. :D

The obvious question is this, what should I look out for? Especially for this year?
Oh and please, someone tell me what an RMS problem is? Seen it around on this board but still not sure what it is.

Also, how do I read fault codes and is there a fault code list I can refer to?

Now for a few spec questions. This only applies to UK cars!!! So please do not give US specs............ Especially if they are better LOL.

Do all 99 Boxsters have:
Power hoods?
Air con/Climate control?
CD Players?
What's the Performance?
Anything else?

Many thanks,
John

RMS=Rear Main Seal failure.

I don't think I have ever seen Euro specs for the Boxster here.

If you search here on the topic, lots of info on buying a Boxster, what to look for.

Of course, we always recommend a pre purchase inspection by a Porsche dealer on all used Boxes.

Good luck.
