911 seats fit in my 99 boxster?

I just secured a complete set of seats from a 2000 911 for $550! Now I have to get the seats into my 99 boxster..oh... the seats were removed with about 5,000 miles on them. they look brand new! Guy swapped for GT3 seats. Any info on the wiring, does anyone know?? Be so cool if they were plug and play. I have a feeling this is not going to be easy. Anyone need 2 rear seats/backs for a 911?

It sounds like you made a good deal.

The answer to your question depends on whether they are the same type of seats. For example, if you have two-way power seats in your car and the 911 seats are also two-way power, they will be plug and play.

If the new seats are 8-way power and you have two-way seats now, you will need to do some re-wiring. Here's a video that shows you how: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49ztXTTpGGo

If the new seats are heated and your current seats aren't, here's information on hooking them up Dennis Vogel: Projects - Boxster Heated Seats

Why not put the rear seats in as well?

awesome deal. You would have paid that much for new seat covers+install.

I would look into Wet Okole seat covers for them. If you get them in black most will not be able to tell they are even covers.
The fit is very custom for the 996/986 seat. When you sell the car, remove the covers and the seats will look fantastic.
