My first car at 19 years of age was a 1971Corvette...back then I had a lot of hair and no stomach but now more than 40 years later it's the reverse! |
That's really cool your first new car was a Corvette at 19, that's pretty impressive. I had a 70 Corvette but I was 34 when I bought it. I had a 93 base Corvette and a 91 ZR1 since then. I'm Vetteless now but always liked the C1 and C2 models, maybe someday!

My first car was a 1964 I think Malibu that was pretty bad, my sister went with me to buy it. My dad came home and asked who's car that was and we returned it a few hours later. I'm surprised the seller gave me my money back, but my dad was pretty upset with him for selling it to me and I was a minor. I guess my first car was a 1969 Opel Kadett Rallye bought in 1972 for around $650.00 from Jordan's used car lot, I kept that for about a year. I remember learning how to drive stick on the ride home, lol. This isn't my car but it looks just like it including the color. I guess my Porsche is my second German car. It was a fun little car, I remember push starting it myself on a few occasions.

Fist car I ever had was a 1995 Nissan Sentra at 16 y/o. First car I could proudly call mine was a 2000 Acura Integra type R at 18. I decided to get rid of her 6 years ago to go back to school and not have to worry about it getting stolen(only source of transportation at the time). Till this day I still miss that car so much and frequently check craigslist to see if can find it. Invested every penny I had into the R at the time including countless hours wrenching on it wen needed. I had that car so familiarized, I could do the clutch in an hour on jackstands by myself!
..still hoping I find it one day. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it back http://s9.postimg.org/4ofnsxrrj/7430..._2725641_n.jpg http://s15.postimg.org/bkdq4xsob/20158572.jpg http://s1.postimg.org/w1eb0401r/20158575.jpg http://s23.postimg.org/nsjg5mzrf/201524700.jpg My buddy and I going on a morning ride before I sold it! http://s27.postimg.org/8o4dyv79f/150..._4340002_n.jpg First motorcycle, 2003 Yamaha R6 Limited Edition http://s3.postimg.org/r4f38vreb/2048..._1938250_n.jpg |
A 1963 Corvair similar to this one. 4 wheel independent suspension, rear engine twin single barrel carbs air cooled flat 6. Came with a two speed slip and slide automatic transmission that I swapped out for a four speed (when I was 17).

Started with a 1974 Honda CB200. 17hp. I was Kenny Roberts.
Then I got a 1979 Datsun 620 mini-pickup truck. 96hp. I was gone and I never looked back.... http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/...psq3fsa1sm.jpg http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/...psbaxejdtk.jpg |
At 15 and a half a 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7 with over 200k on it for $800. Over the next 18 months I rebuilt essential the whole drivetrain minus the axel and redid the paint, chrome and interior. Did much of it myself.
First mode of motorized transportation was a Honda moped with a 50cc motor. I still have a two wheeled ride, a Triumph Daytona 675. |

1991 Citroen BX I still have it! Gets driven 1 month per year, 11 months in storage. |
Mine was a red 1960's? Toyota station wagon. All the neighbors knew I had it, they'd knock on the door and give me back my hub caps. :D

Porsche 924 NA 82' year I think it was, what an awesome car that was, I'll try post a few pics later, she was a beauty IMO.

1967 Oldsmobile 98. Bought it for $1000 in '94 with 50k original miles. I didn't have any parents, so I paid for it the old fashioned way: washing dishes at the diner. ;)
Big, ugly car, but it sure would move with that 425 making 365hp. :) http://i875.photobucket.com/albums/a...02E2E2C0C6.jpg |
A mid 70's Dodge dart sport. It had a 318 that pounded most of my friends cars pretty good. Which included lots of 350's, 302's, 351's. I got teased for being a MOPAR fan back in 1980.

That car weighed a ton.....literally. |
1952 Chevy Fleetline - In 1959 I was 16 and working in a Standard Oil station and bought the car. Had it nosed, decked, split exhaust manifold, dual exhaust, baby Moon hubcaps, blue dot tail lights, etc. Everyone named their cars then and since mine was white it became the "White Worm". I wish I had it back.
