Maintenance Completed!!

Boxster back home after IMS surgery. Sent to Kraftwerks in Marengo Ohio and given the full service maintenance package. I purchased the 986S Spyder Edition with partial service records but low mileage (32K) in pristine condition. I factored the cost of these items into the price and budgeted accordingly. What got done:

LN IMS Gen2
RMS
AOS
Spin on filter
Magnetic plug
Chain tensioners
Clutch Kit
Water pump
Low temp therm
Flushed w/ new cap
Drive belt

Left to complete by me.

Transmission fluid change
Oil filter magnets
Water proof immobilizer box
Clean and seal top

The original IMS had compromised seals (no surprise) and very minor play in the bearing. It was caught before any issues. The sump was clean of debris. The tensioners were replaced proactively since they were being checked/cleaned. The water pump and AOS were original. I also added the filter adapter and magnetic plug. I highly recommend Kraftwerks Specialists for your Porsche service. Jeff is a stand up guy and honest as they come.

Time to drive this beast like a Porsche!!

Oil Filter Magnets ?

Very cool. You are the second member to get a low mileage '04 SE and do all of the proactive work and maintenance. You have got a great car that is set to go. Enjoy!

Thanks, it's a beautiful car. Yes on the filter magnets, recommend by many including my Indy as added protection. Appreciate the link Chuck. I was also going to note the very specific oil that's strongly recommended (and now the engine) but didn't want to start a oil brand war..:-))
