Just bought one early August. I didn't do it for cars as much as our two 4-stroke Yamaha waverunners that have dry sump motors. Sucking the oil out is the only option for changing the oil.

So far I've used it on both waverunners and two of our BMW's, which are perfect for the device as their oil filters are front and cetner at the top of the engine.

I bought the ~7 liter version from Amazon and it works fine. I doesn't take that long to suck the oil out as it came with 3 different diameter tubes. It's easy to control the flow and stop it if you needed to empty the mityvac before you are finished emptying the oil.

We'll see how it holds up but so far, it works great and is not messy at all.
