New to Boxster Ownership

Hello, I recently jumped to the world of Porsche Boxster ownership. I just bought a 2 owner, 99 Boxster with 14k kms (rarely driven and stored in a temperature controlled garage most of it's life). Unfortunately the previous owner passed away and didn't leave behind much documentation, so, not knowing a lot about the car, I immediately flat-bedded it to a local certified Porsche mechanic in the east end of Toronto and did a complete overhaul of the car, including all the belts, fluids AOS and IMS, the list goes on and on. The previous owner replaced the exhaust but I cannot figure out what kind of exhaust this is. I have added a couple of pics here. A bit of help identifying this exhaust would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Congratulations you have the oe Porsche Sports exhaust. If it was original equipment there should be a button on the dash to bypass the muffler.

Welcome, check out the option list under the front trunk lid, if it is an original sports exhaust it would be listed, option code XLF I believe, there is a complete list here, https://www.stuttcars.com/technical/option-codes/986-97-99/

Nice grab! The sports exhaust is a rare option, as others have said check for the codes on the sticker. Have fun, silver is my favorite.

Greetings from Waterloo and another Arctic Silver owner.
Seriously, dude, we need pics of more than the muffler! Only 14,000km? That car of yours must look showroom fresh.
Whereabouts in the Big Smoke are you?

Thanks Steve and everyone else for the info and feedback
I have to admit that this car sort of fell into my lap. I wasn't planning on buying a Porsche at all. My wife works with a woman who was selling it, it hadn't been driven for about 2 years and she hated the thing. It was taking up space in her garage and she just wanted to be rid of it. I'm in East York, so I took it to a certified Porsche shop called G Tek Auto and they were awesome. They had it for a week and changed everything. They said because of the low km's it should be considered new in terms of maintenance. I will post some pics here tomorrow, IMO, the paint IS showroom fresh, no one can believe it's 15 years old. If I could change 1 thing it would be the tiptronic tranny. I really wanted a 3rd pedal.
