Boxster key stuck???
 

I had the dead battery issue in my 2011 Spyder and had to jump through the fuse box to open the hood. Got battery charged, car runs great EXCEPT when I shut it down the key will not come out! I can get it out with the wire pin from the fuse box but not unless I do that. Anyone see this before and any solution?

Had this happen on my 01S years ago. Solution: had to replace the cylinder part of the ignition key system. Not sure if problem persists with later model cars

Thx Thom. I can't understand how losing battery power could mess up the ignition switch... but maybe that's it.

Hope the problem got fixed.

Adding comment to thread b/c the power isn't off completely until the key comes out of the switch thus draining the battery.
