M030 S/base compatibility

Hello guys,
Can I install a M030 suspension removed from a manual S Boxster into a Tiptronic base Boxster?
Will there be any impact? I am thinking about the weight of the Tip VS the manual? What about the height?
Thanks in advance!

I believe they are different part numbers, as they are on the ROW M030, but I am unsure of what the difference is. It would be interesting to know because on Suncoast the "S" version of the ROW M030 is $200 more than base or tip.

I bought the ROW M030 kit from Sunset Porsche (Oregon) a few years ago for my '02 S.

Here's the fun part: by then Porsche had quit selling the 986 S manual ROW kits, but the parts mgr could still order the Tip kit, leaving it to me to buy extra manual S ROW rear springs for $200.

He explained the Tip ROW has stiffer rear springs (they're close to 100 pounds ass heavier). That's the only difference. I did, and still have the new Tip rears in bags...

Is there a risk using "manual" rear springs on a Tip then?

I put a tip kit on my manual. Handled great in my opinion although others will always say it's wrong. A bit of extra rake.
