it probably works well. But the problem is that eventually you'll wash the car and wax it and introduces new swirls. There are many proper washing methods to minimize swirling.
alos There are other over the counter products that have been tested and used by enthusiasts that perform a similar filling-in the scratches/sealing the clear coat function. Meguiar's NXT spray wax for instance works very well at this and lasts long enough to hold you old for you next swril inducing washing and waxing session, and its cheap.

The best thing to do is to remove the swirls with a Porter Cable polisher with a good cutting pad and a good swirl remover like Poor Boy's SSR 2.5
Follow up with a good polish like Klasse All in One and a popular sealant like Zaino Z2 ,Klasse SG, Poor Boy's EX-P, etc.

why cover up the swirl when you can just remove it.

PL is right, the best way is with a orbital polisher. Howerver, I have minor swirls and have had good success with the Zaino Z5 product. It is not a permanent fix as it only "hides" the swirls but I only wash my car about every 1-2 mo or so I almost always wax after every wash anyway.
