I just had my 120 lb German Shepherd in mine. My 70 lb German Shepherd has tried to jump out before so his Boxster privileges has gone away.

Turbo, the Basset Hound. He was one of the reasons I got my 996! He loves riding in the car and fits very well into the back seats.

They actually make dog seatbelts to keep them in place, and you can get booties so their nails don't tear things up.

I live in Key West Florida where the motto is "One Human Family", gay, straight it doesn't matter. If riding on trips with my dog makes me "gay" so be it.

This is Penn my Miniature Poodle. When we go on vacation sometimes my wife takes her car with the female dog and Penn and I travel in the Porsche. We jam out to great tunes like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Aerosmith (just some of our playlist) Penn is wearing his harness that clips onto the seat belt and after a bit of time he tends to fall asleep with his stuffed toy.

Not sure how dangerous the passenger airbag is to pets riding in the car. Consider deactivating it. I did by purchasing a used child seat bar, installed it with the longer seat bolts and had the local Indie reprogram the car for a child seat. When the dog is in the car, the buckle is in the bar's receptacle. When a person is in the seat, the buckle comes out. 2 second effort to change from on to off and the reverse

PS: Bought a seat belt harness from PetCo. The dog is always belted in when driving - both top up and top down

I like it, too many pets are treated as lawn fixtures

I would jump into a river for my dog. I'd also defend him from another dog or person with my life or with deadly force.

I try every day to make him as happy as he seems to be when he hears the Porsche exhaust come up the driveway. Heck, I visit a butcher a town south of here just for his cow bone treats to BBQ.

Our dog is family, but my friend first. I like having him around.

I merely made an observation. You had to get filthy. Strange, in that you admit you are addicted to giving hummers.

So why don't you enlighten us with your great observation skills.

What about the thread, exactly, makes it gay or this place more gay? What makes this place gay in the first place? Please elaborate. Is it small dogs? Caring for them? Enjoying making their lives as happy as possible like a child?

Seems it's partly you, as you twist member's names into exactly that.

I've seen a dog jump out the window of a moving car that was in front of me....wasn't pretty. And lots of stories of accidents where animals are thrown out of the car because they aren't buckled in. If you love your pet, why wouldn't you protect them?
