The way it sticks out from below the boxster dash it will get kicked off the port while your getting in or out of the car if you forget it's there. Can't be good for it or the port. Well at least mine does. Maybe others have a 90degree unit that keeps up high.

Not a problem on my VW as the port is oriented on another angle. Still don't leave it plugged in though.

The problem with these is they are so small you forget about them. I had to buy several because I kept losing them. Then 3 months later my friend or customer would come back for something else and... wow there is my reader!

I think I will have to put a leash or a ribbon on it.

There is even a reminder on the app to remind you to remove it if your want the reminder there.

I got Vgate iCar 2 wifi model about year ago and works grate with Dash Command.If you are on iOS then wifi is the only way to go. Its shuts down automatically after 30min if not connected to phone, so you can leave it on a car and it will not drain battery. I kicked it once when I was getting out of the car, so now I just keep it in a car. I like Torque Pro more but its only on Android.
