I have Eibach coilovers in my Mercedes c32 amg wagon and will be fitting this brand in my Porsche Boxster s.

I cannot talk highly enough of them.

Radium King, those coilovers pictured have no top plates or pillow balls on them. Buyer beware.

If they turned out to be any good for $500.... dang!

Here is an English version of the coilovers:

TuningArt Handels GmbH - TA-Technix coilover kit Porsche Boxster

Edit: with even less information :)

They have TUV approval, so I might just try these out for the year/season and save up for a nice set over winter. I'm doing an LSx swap so the it'll be a little heavier in the back and I would like to even it out. I'm sure they're like the other ebay brands I've had theyll probably rust or something.

I think Boxter is German for Boxster.

So, did anybody go for these? I'm curious as I need to replace my struts.

Nmbrsix 08-27-2015 02:11 PM

Considering Bilstein HD's are $900+ for a set? I'd be very, very leery.

The general consensus on cheap coilovers is that they will work fine as long as you understand what you're buying.

They won't have very good or very consistent damping characteristics (compression or rebound) when compared to more expensive dampers but that may not really matter if all you're doing is regular street driving. They may not last as long as more expensive dampers but then again, that also may not matter. And they will allow you to easily set the ride height and they will look much nicer.

Will you notice the lack of performance? Hard to say. Casual driving, probably not much. Spirited driving, maybe. Track, very likely.

Just realize that they are a downgrade from the stock unadjustable dampers in terms of performance but you get the ability to adjust the ride height. Therein lies the tradeoff.
