I finally got around to installing the OBC four stalk. My daily commute is 20 miles each way of which 90% is city highway. If conservatively driving 65mph with little traffic, the top up, and A/C on full blast (this IS Texas after all), I managed to average 32mpg. That's about all I could eke out of the 2.7L.

Mine is now 15.3. It's constantly going down.

mmm... the gas pedal must be sticking to the floorboard.. better have some one look at that.. happens to me all the time....

Lovebunny, that can't be right. Next time you fill up, reset your odometer to 0.

Then, when you fill up after that, note how many gallons it takes to fill your car.

Divide that into the number of miles you have driven since your last fill up.

That should give you your MPG...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

On a seperate note, I filled up yesterday.

I put in 13.5 gallons. Drove 290 miles on the previous tank = 21.5 MPG

( mostly going to work and back - 20 miles each way non-highway )

Still wondering why I only averaged 23 MPG on my road trip

Must be that sticky gas pedal skip mentions :D

about 80% of my driving is city... i get right at about 300/tank... it's 75 miles between tickmarks on the gauge almost consistently..

I'll do a calculation next time I fill up. I get about 250 miles it seems between fill-ups, so in a quick calculation it seems like it might be close though.

I just checked and with a combination of fairly agressive back roads, city and open road I am getting around 22.3 MPG with the air on. I'm happy.
