Los Angeles Porsche Mechanic

I use to go to Dutch Treat in Lawndale, but it's a bit far for me now that I live in Hollywood.

Anyone have a local mechanic they can recommend that's reasonably priced? I need 2 things done.

#1 6 Speed manual transmission fluid change. I have the transmission fluid, I just don't have a lift to do it myself, also reading up on how removing the rear brace can mess up the alignment, I would rather have a shop do this one.

#2. My remotes died last year, looking to get my remote reprogrammed, anyone have experience with a local dealer who will only charge .5 hours to do the programing versus the entire hour? I already purchased a new remote from sunset porsche

Also, anyone know what the manual says with regards to hours to perform the work on question #1?

Thanks!

A shop should have that fluid changed in an hour. DIY would be maybe 3 with stands and a jack. Not difficult, but you do have to dig a bit.

Doesn't matter if they remove the brace or you, alignment may still be necessary, or at least need to be checked.

I bought mine in OC and Circle Porsche was really nice to me. Didn't get a full PPI but they were willing to diagnose a bad wheel bearing while I waited because I was down there and about to buy.
